Question:

What are the disliked (makruh) matters in the noble month of Ramadan? Thank you..

Answer :

Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, and his companions. To proceed: If the noble questioner means the things disliked during fasting, they include: tasting something and chewing it without a need, chewing sugar-free gum, kissing, embracing, and touching for one whose desire is aroused by such contact, collecting saliva to swallow it, and things that weaken the fasting person such as venesection (al-fasd) and cupping (al-hijamah).

The Maliki school adds: exaggerating in rinsing the mouth and nose (during wudu), smelling perfume during the day, excessive sleeping during the day, and idle talk or actions.

And it is disliked according to the Shafi’i school to use the siwak after the sun reaches its zenith (zawal/noon). And Allah knows best.
