معنى الفقه لغةً واصطلاحاً

Linguistic and Terminological Meaning of Fiqh

الفقه في اللغة: الفهم.  

Linguistically, Fiqh means understanding.

ومنه قول الله تعالى عن قوم شعيب:

As mentioned in the words of Allah, the Exalted, regarding the people of Shu‘aib:

 … مَا نَفْقَهُ كَثِيرًا مِّمَّا تَقُولُ ….

“… We do not understand much of what you say …” (Surah Hud, 11:91)

وقوله عز وجل :

And His statement, the Exalted :

 …. وَلَٰكِن لَّا تَفْقَهُونَ تَسْبِيحَهُمْ ….

“… but you do not understand their glorification …” (Surah Al-Isra, 17:44)

والفقه في الاصطلاح: العلم بالأحكام الشرعية العملية المكتسبة من أدلتها التفصيلية. وقد يطلق الفقه على الأحكام نفسها.

Terminologically, Fiqh means :
The knowledge of practical Shariah rulings, derived from their detailed evidence. Sometimes, the term Fiqh is used to refer to the rulings themselves.
