And perform the Hajj and Umrah completely, sincerely for the sake of Allah the Exalted. Then if you are prevented from going to complete them after entering the state of Ihram for them by a preventer such as the enemy or illness, then what is obligatory upon you is the sacrifice of what is easy for you of camels, cattle, or sheep as a means of nearness to Allah the Exalted; so that you may come out of your Ihram by shaving the hair of the head or shortening it, and do not shave your heads if you are prevented until the prevented one sacrifices his offering in the place where he was prevented then he comes out of his Ihram, just as the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, sacrificed in -al-Hudaybiyyah- then shaved his head, and the one not prevented does not sacrifice the offering except in the Haram, which is its place on the Day of Eid, the tenth day and what follows it of the days of Tashreeq. So whoever among you was ill, or has an ailment in his head necessitating shaving-while he is in Ihram-shaved, and upon him is a ransom: by fasting three days, or giving charity to six needy people with half a Sa' of food for each needy person, or sacrificing a sheep for the poor of the Haram. Then when you are in security and health: then whoever enjoys the Umrah until the Hajj and that is by making lawful what was forbidden for him due to Ihram after the end of his Umrah, then upon him is the sacrifice of what is easy of the offering, then whoever does not find an offering to sacrifice then upon him is fasting three days in the months of Hajj, and seven when you have finished the rituals of Hajj and returned to your families, those are ten complete days that must be fasted. That offering and what follows it of fasting is for the one whose family was not from the dwellers of the land of the Haram, and fear Allah the Exalted and maintain the compliance with His commands and the avoidance of His prohibitions, and know that Allah is severe in punishment for whoever opposes His command and commits what He rebuked from.
