(Repeat for verse 6) An angel severe in strength, possessor of a goodly appearance, taught Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him; he is Gabriel, peace be upon him, who appeared and settled upon his true form to the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, in the highest horizon, which is the horizon of the sun at its rising. Then Gabriel drew near to the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and increased in closeness, so his drawing near was the measure of two bows' length or closer than that. Then Allah, Glorified and Exalted be He, revealed to His servant Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, what He revealed through the medium of Gabriel, peace be upon him. The heart of Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, did not lie about what his sight saw.
