From the Jews is a group who have persisted on changing the word of Allah and shifting it from what it is upon as a fabrication against Allah, and they say to the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: "We heard your word and we disobeyed your command" and "Listen from us, may you not hear," and they say: "Observe us with your hearing" meaning: understand from us and make us understand, they twisting their tongues with that, while they intend the supplication against him with the foolishness according to their language, and the defaming in the religion of Islam. And had they said: "We heard and we obeyed," instead of "and we disobeyed," and "Listen" without "not hearing," and "Observe us" instead of "Ra'ina" it would have been better for them with Allah and more just as a word but Allah expelled them from His mercy; because of their disbelief and their rejection of the prophethood of Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, so they do not confirm with the truth except a little confirmation that does not benefit them.
