(Repeat for the same block) Nuh said: "Lord indeed my people exceeded in my disobedience and my belying, and the weak from them followed the straying leaders whose wealth and children only increased them except misguidance in the world and retribution in the Hereafter, and the leaders of misguidance plotted by their followers from the weak a great plot, and said to them: 'Do not leave the worship of your gods for the worship of Allah alone, which Nuh calls to, and do not leave Wadd, nor Suwa', nor Yaghuth, and Ya'uq, and Nasr' — and these are the names of their idols which they used to worship besides Allah, and they were names of righteous men, when they died the devil revealed to their people that they set up for them statues and images; so that they become active—according to their claim—upon obedience when they see them, then when those people went away and the time became long, and others succeeded them, the devil whispered to them that their ancestors used to worship the statues and images, and seek intercession by them, and this is the wisdom from the prohibition of statues, and the prohibition of building domes upon the graves; because they become with the passing of time worshipped for the ignorant. And these followed ones had surely misguided many of the people by what they beautified for them of the paths of deviance and misguidance. Then Nuh—peace be upon him—said: 'And do not increase—O our Lord—these wrongdoers to themselves through disbelief and stubbornness except distance from the truth'. So because of their sins and their persistence upon the disbelief and transgression they were drowned by the flood, and they were entered following the drowning a Fire great in flame and burning, so they did not find besides Allah anyone who helps them, or repels from them the punishment of Allah."
