O you who have believed in Allah and His Messenger and acted by His law, respond to the commands of Allah the Exalted and do not disobey Him, and respond to the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, in what he brought of the truth, and obey those in authority over you in other than disobedience to Allah, then if you differed in something between you, then return the judgment therein to the Book of Allah the Exalted and the Sunnah of His Messenger Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, if you were believing a true faith in Allah the Exalted and in the Day of Reckoning. That return to the Book and the Sunnah is better for you than the dispute and the speaking with opinion, and better as a consequence and an end.
