And had they acted by what was in the Torah and the Gospel, and by what was sent down to you O Messenger-and it is the Noble Qur'an-they would surely have been provided from every path, so We would have sent down upon them the rain, and We would have grown for them the fruit, and this is the recompense of the world. And indeed from the People of the Book is a moderate group firm on the truth, and many of them vile was his deed, and he strayed from the equal path.
