You will surely find-O Messenger-the most intense of people in enmity to those who confirmed you and believed in you and followed you, the Jews; because of their stubbornness, and their rejection, and their disregard for the truth, and those who associated with Allah other than Him, like the worshippers of idols and others, and you will surely find the closest of them in affection to the Muslims those who said: "Indeed we are Christians," that is because from them are scholars by their religion who are ascetic and worshippers in the cells who are devoted, and that they are humble they do not act arrogantly from the acceptance of truth, and those are the ones who accepted the message of Muhammad peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and believed in it.
