And Allah Glorified be He is the One who sent down from the clouds rain so He brought forth by it the plant of everything, so He brought forth from the plant a crop and a green tree, then He brought forth from the crop grain riding some of it upon others, like the ears of wheat, barley, and rice, and He brought forth from the spathe of the palm tree-and it is what the clusters of dates arise in it-clusters close for the taking, and He Glorified be He brought forth gardens of grapes, and He brought forth the tree of olive and pomegranate which are similar in their leaf and different in their fruit in shape, taste, and nature. Look O people to the fruit of this plant when it fruits, and to its ripening and its reaching when it reaches. Indeed in that-O people-are surely indications on the perfection of the power of the Creator of these things and His wisdom and His mercy for a people who confirm with Him the Exalted and act by His law.
