Vile is what the Children of Israel chose for themselves; as they exchanged disbelief for faith out of injustice and envy for Allah's sending down from His favor the Qur'an upon the Prophet of Allah and His Messenger Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, so they returned with anger from Allah upon them because of their rejection of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, after His anger upon them because of their distortion of the Torah. And for the deniers of the prophethood of Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, is a punishment that will humiliate them and disgrace them.
