وإنما جعل الله هذه العقيدة عامة للبشر، وخالدة على الدهر؛ لما لها من الأثر البيِّن، والنفع الظاهر فى حياة الأفراد والجماعات.
Allah made the Islamic Creed universal for all mankind and everlasting because of its evident impact and clear benefits in both individual and societal life.
فالمعرفة بالله من شأنها أن تفجر المشاعر النبيلة، وتوقظ حواس الخير، وتربى ملكة المراقبة، وتبعث على طلب معالى الأمور وأشرافها، وتنأى بالمرء عن مُحَقَّرات الأعمال وسَفسافها.
Thus, knowledge of Allah Ta’ala can evoke noble feelings, awaken the senses of goodness, develop a sense of always being watched by Allah Ta’ala, encourage the pursuit of lofty and honorable matters, and distance one from shameful and disgraceful acts.
والمعرفة بالملائكة تدعو إلى التشبه بهم والتعاون معهم على الحق والخير؛ كما تدعو إلى الوعى الكامل واليقظة التّامّة؛ فلا يصدر من الإنسان إلا ما هو حسن، ولا يتصرف إلا لغاية كريمة.
The knowledge of angels prompts emulation of them and cooperation with them in truth and goodness; it also calls for full awareness and complete vigilance, so that nothing but good emanates from a person, and he acts only for a noble purpose
والمعرفة بالكتب الإلهية إنما هى عرفان بالمنهج الرشيد الذى رسمه الله للإنسان كى يصلَ بالسير عليه إلى كماله المادى والأدبى.
The knowledge of divine books is the recognition of the righteous path that Allah has outlined for humanity, so that by following it, they may achieve both material and moral perfection.
والمعرفة بالرسل إنما يقصد بها ترسم خطاهم، والتخلق بأخلاقهم، والتأسى بهم، باعتبار أنهم يمثلون القيم الصالحة، والحياة النظيفة التى أرادها الله للناس.
Knowledge of the Messengers is intended to follow their footsteps, adopt their morals, and emulate them, as they represent the righteous values and the pure life that Allah Ta’ala desires for humanity.
والمعرفة باليوم الآخر هى أقوى باعث على فعل الخير، وترك الشر.
Knowledge of the Day of Judgment is the strongest motivator to do good and avoid evil.
والمعرفة بالقدر تزود المرء بقوى وطاقات تتحدى كل العِقاب والصعاب، وتصغر دونها الأحداث الجسام.
Knowledge of al-Qadr (destiny) grants a person the strength and energy to face all obstacles and challenges, rendering significant events minor in comparison.
وهكذا يبدو بجلاء أن العقيدة إنما يقصد بها تهذيب السلوك، وتزكية النفوس وتوجيهها نحو المثل الأعلى – فضلاً عن أنها حقائق ثابتة – وهى تعد من أعلى المعارف الإنسانية إن لم تكن أعلاها على الإطلاق.
Thus, it is evident that the creed aims to refine behavior, purify souls, and direct them towards the highest ideals – aside from being established truths – and it ranks among the highest forms of human knowledge, if not the highest.
وتهذيب سلوك الأفراد عن طريق غرس العقيدة الدينية هو أسلوب من أعظم الأساليب التربوية.
Refining the behavior of individuals through the instillation of religious creed is one of the most profound educational methods
حيث إن للدين سلطانًا على القلوب والنفوس، وتأثيرًا على المشاعر والأحاسيس، ولا يكاد يدانيه فى سلطانه وتأثيره شىء آخر من الوسائل التى ابتكرها العلماء، والحكماء، ورجال التربية.
Religion exerts power over the hearts and souls, influencing emotions and feelings, and nothing else rivals its power and influence, despite the various methods devised by scientists, scholars, and educators.
فغرس العقيدة فى النفوس، هو أمثل طريقة لإيجاد عناصر صالحة تستطيع أن تقوم بدورها كاملاً فى الحياة، وتُسهم بنصيب كبير فى تزويدها بما هو أنفع وأرشد.
Therefore, instilling faith in the soul is the best way to discover elements of goodness. These elements can fulfill their roles entirely in life and significantly contribute to equipping the soul with beneficial and directed matters.
إذ أن هذا اللون من التربية يُضفى على الحياة ثوب الجمال والكمال، ويظللها بظلال المحبة والسلام.
This type of education bestows beauty and perfection upon life, and it shelters it with the shades of love and peace
ومتى سادت المحبة ارتفعت الخصومة، وانقطع النزاع، وحل الوفاق محل الشقاق، وتقارب الناس، وتآلفوا، وسعى الفرد لخير الجماعة، وحرصت الجماعة على إصلاح الفرد وإسعاده.
When love prevails, enmity vanishes, disputes cease, harmony replaces division, people come together and unite, individuals strive for the welfare of the community, and the community works to improve and bring happiness to the individual.
ومن ثَمّ تظهر الحكمة واضحة من جعل الإيمان عامًا خالدًا، وفى أن الله لم يُخْل جيلاً من الأجيال، ولا أمة من الأمم، من رسول يدعو إلى هذا الإيمان وتعميق جذور هذه العقيدة.
Therefore, the wisdom behind making faith universal and eternal becomes clear, and that Allah has never left a generation or a nation without a messenger calling to this faith and deepening the roots of this creed.
وكثيرًا ما كانت تأتى هذه الدعوة بعد فساد الضمير الإنسانى، وبعد أن تتحطم كل القيم العليا، ويظهر أن الإنسان أشد ما يكون حاجة إلى معجزة تعيده إلى فطرته السليمة؛ ليصلح لعمارة الأرض، وليقوى على حمل أمانة الحياة.
Often, this call comes after the corruption of human conscience, after all noble values have been destroyed, and it becomes clear that humanity is in desperate need of a miracle to return to its pure nature so that it may repair the earth and be strong enough to bear the trust of life
إن هذه العقيدة هى الروح لكل فرد، بها يحيا الحياة الطيبة، وبفقدها يموت الموت الروحى، وهى النور الذى إذا عمى عنه الإنسان، ضل فى مسارب الحياة، وتاه فى أودية الضلال.
“This creed is the spirit for every individual; with it, one lives a good life, and without it, one dies a spiritual death. It is the light, and if a person is blind to it, he will lose his way in life and wander in the valleys of misguidance.
أَوَمَن كَانَ مَيْتًا فَأَحْيَيْنَاهُ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُ نُورًا يَمْشِي بِهِ فِي النَّاسِ كَمَن مَّثَلُهُ فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ لَيْسَ بِخَارِجٍ مِّنْهَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
“Is one who was dead and We gave him life and made for him light by which to walk among the people like one who is in darkness, never to emerge therefrom? Thus it has been made pleasing to the disbelievers that which they were doing.”
(Surah Al-An’aam, verse 122)
إن العقيدة مصدر العواطف النبيلة، ومغرس المشاعر الطيبة، ومنبت الأحاسيس الشريفة؛ فما من فضيلة إلا تصدر عنها، ولا صالحة إلا ترد إليها.
This creed is the source of noble feelings, the seed of good sentiments, and the origin of honorable emotions; no virtue emerges except from it, and no goodness exists without returning to it.
والقرآن الكريم حينما يتحدث عن الصالحات، إنما يذكر العقيدة فى طليعة أعمال البر كأصلٍ تتفرع عنه، وكأساس تقوم عليه، يقول الله سبحانه :
When the Quran mentions good deeds, it always mentions creed at the forefront of righteous acts as the root from which they sprout and the foundation upon which they stand.” Allah says:
لَّيْسَ الْبِرَّ أَن تُوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَلَٰكِنَّ الْبِرَّ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالْكِتَابِ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ وَآتَى الْمَالَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِ ذَوِي الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْيَتَامَىٰ وَالْمَسَاكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ وَالسَّائِلِينَ وَفِي الرِّقَابِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَى الزَّكَاةَ وَالْمُوفُونَ بِعَهْدِهِمْ إِذَا عَاهَدُوا ۖ وَالصَّابِرِينَ فِي الْبَأْسَاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ وَحِينَ الْبَأْسِ ۗ أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ
“It is not righteousness that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but righteousness is in one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the Angels, the Book, and the Prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; and who establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and those who are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous.” (Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 177)
