Goodness with Allah-the Exalted-is not in facing in prayer toward the direction of the East and the West if it is not by the command of Allah and His law, but rather all goodness is the faith of whoever believed in Allah and affirmed Him as the One worshipped alone without partner, and believed in the Day of Resurrection and Recompense, and in all the angels, and in all the revealed books, and in all the prophets without differentiation, and gave wealth voluntarily-despite the intensity of his love for it-to relatives, the needy orphans whose fathers died while they were below the age of maturity, the poor who are burdened by poverty, the needy travelers who are far from their family and wealth, and the beggars who were forced to ask due to the intensity of their need, and spent in the freeing of slaves and captives, and established the prayer, and gave the prescribed Zakat, and those who fulfill covenants, and whoever was patient in the state of his poverty and his illness, and in the intensity of fighting. Those characterized by these attributes are the ones who were truthful in their faith, and those are the ones who feared the punishment of Allah so they avoided His acts of disobedience.
