And their Prophet said to them: "Indeed, Allah has surely sent to you Saul (Talut) as a king in response to your request, to lead you for the fighting of your enemy as you requested." The elders of the Children of Israel said: "How can Saul be a king over us, while he does not deserve that? Because he is not from the tribe of kings, nor from the house of prophethood, and he was not given abundance in wealth to seek help by it in his kingdom, while we are more worthy of the kingdom than him; because we are from the tribe of kings and from the house of prophethood." Their Prophet said to them: "Indeed, Allah chose him over you and He Glorified be He is more knowing of the affairs of His servants, and increased him vastness in knowledge and strength in the body to strive against the enemy." And Allah is the Owner of the kingdom He gives His kingdom to whom He wills of His servants, and Allah is vast in favor and giving, All-Knowing of the realities of matters, nothing is hidden from Him.
