Allah forbade upon you the marriage of your mothers, and into that enter the grandmothers from the side of the father or the mother, and your daughters: and it includes the daughters of children even if they descend, and your sisters, full or for a father or for a mother, and your paternal aunts: the sisters of your fathers and your grandfathers, and your maternal aunts: the sisters of your mothers and your grandmothers, and the daughters of the brother, and the daughters of the sister: and into that enter their children, and your mothers who suckled you, and your sisters from suckling-and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, has forbidden from suckling what is forbidden from lineage-and the mothers of your wives, whether you have entered with your wives, or you have not entered with them, and the daughters of your wives from other than you who are raised mostly in your houses and under your care, and they are forbidden even if they were not in your laps, but on the condition of the entry with their mothers, then if you had not entered with their mothers and you divorced them or they died before the entry then there is no sin upon you that you marry them, just as Allah forbade upon you that you marry the wives of your sons who are from your loins, and whoever was joined to them of your sons from suckling, and this prohibition is by the contract upon her, whether the son entered with her or did not enter, and He forbade upon you likewise the joining in one time between two sisters by lineage or suckling except what has already passed and gone from you in the Jahiliyyah. And it is not permissible likewise the joining between the woman and her paternal aunt or her maternal aunt as has come in the Sunnah. Indeed, Allah was Forgiving to the sinners if they repented, Most Merciful to them, for He does not burden them what they cannot bear.
