And when you traveled-O believers-in the earth of Allah, then there is no blame nor any sin upon you in the shortening of the prayer if you feared from the aggression of the disbelievers upon you in the state of your prayer, and most of the travels of the Muslims in the beginning of Islam were fearful, and the shortening is a concession in the travel in the state of security or fear. Indeed the disbelievers are manifest to you with their enmity, so beware of them.
