And when you-O Prophet-were in the field of fighting, and you intended that you pray with them, then let a group from them stand with you for the prayer, and let them take their weapon, then when these prostrated then let the other group be from behind you in facing your enemy, and the first group completes their second rak'ah and they greet, then let the other group come which did not start the prayer then let them follow you in their first rak'ah, then they complete by themselves their second rak'ah, and let them beware from their enemy and let them take their weapons. Those who rejected the religion of Allah wished that you be heedless from your weapon and your provision; so that they carry upon you one single carry so they finish you off, and there is no sin upon you then if there was with you harm from rain, or you were in a state of illness, that you leave your weapons, along with the taking of caution. Indeed Allah the Exalted prepared for the rejecters of His religion a punishment that humiliates them, and disgraces them.
