O you who have believed in Allah and His Messenger and acted by His law, do not transgress the limits of Allah and His landmarks, and do not make lawful fighting in the sacred months, which are: Dhul-Qi'dah, Dhul-Hijjah, Muharram, and Rajab, and that was in the beginning of Islam, and do not make lawful the sanctity of the sacrificial offering (Hady), nor what is garlanded of it; as they used to place garlands, which are braids of wool or fur, on the necks as a sign that the beast is an offering and that the man intends Hajj, and do not make lawful the fighting of those heading to the Sacred House who seek from the favor of Allah what reforms their livelihoods and pleases their Lord. And when you have finished your Ihram, hunting is lawful for you, and let not the hatred of a people because they prevented you from reaching the Masjid al-Haram-as happened in the year of -al-Hudaybiyyah-- carry you to leaving justice toward them. And cooperate-O believers among yourselves-in the performance of goodness and the fear of Allah, and do not cooperate in what contains sin, disobedience, and transgression of the limits of Allah, and beware of opposing the command of Allah for indeed He is severe in punishment.
