Only the recompense of those who war against Allah, and challenge Him with enmity, and transgress upon His rulings, and upon the rulings of His Messenger, and spread corruption in the earth by killing the souls, and snatching the wealth, is that they be killed, or be crucified along with the killing (and the crucifixion: is that the offender be tied on a wood) or the right hand of the warrior and his left leg be cut, then if he did not repent his left hand and his right leg be cut, or they be exiled to a land other than their land, and be confined in the prison of that land until their repentance appears. And this recompense which Allah prepared for the warriors is humiliation in the world, and for them in the Hereafter is a severe punishment if they did not repent.
