And We followed the prophets of the Children of Israel with Jesus son of Mary as one believing in what was in the Torah, an actor by what was in it of what his book did not abrogate, and We sent down to him the Gospel as a guide to the truth, and a clarification for what the people were ignorant of from the judgment of Allah, and a witness on the truthfulness of the Torah by what it contained of its rulings, and We made it a clarification for those who fear Allah and a rebuke for them from committing the prohibitions.
