We had surely taken the confirmed covenant upon the Children of Israel in the Torah with the hearing and the obedience, and We sent to them with that Our messengers, then they broke what was taken upon them of the covenant, and followed their desires, and they were whenever a messenger from those messengers came to them with what their souls did not desire they were hostile to him: so they belied a group of the messengers, and they killed another group.
