المزاح والمداعبة شئ محبب إلى النفوس ، فهو يبعث على النشاط والإقبال على الأعمال بجد وطاقة ، ولا حرج فيه ما دام منضبطا بضوابط الشرع ، ولا يترتب عليه ضرر ، بل هو مطلوب ومرغوب ، وذلك لأن النفس يعتريها السآمة والملل ، فلا بد من فترات راحة ،
Joking and humor are something beloved to the soul. They bring vitality and encourage one to engage in work with seriousness and energy. There is nothing prohibited in them as long as they remain bound by the rules of the Shariah and do not cause harm. In fact, they are needed and recommended, because the human soul can be overtaken by boredom and weariness, thus it requires moments of rest.
وليس أدل على أهمية المزاح والحاجة إليه ، مما كان عليه سيد الخلق وخاتم الرسل ، فقد كان صلى الله عليه وسلم ، يمازح أصحابه ، ويداعب أهله ، وكان يعتني بصغار السن ويجعل لهم جزءاً من وقته ، ويعاملهم بما يطيقون ويفهمون .
The greatest proof of the importance of humor and the need for it is what was demonstrated by the Master of creation and the Seal of the Messengers ﷺ. He would joke with his companions, play with his family, show care for children, devote part of his time to them, and treat them according to their capacity and understanding.
فعن أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه (أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال له :
Dari Anas bin Malik radhiyallahu ‘anhu: Nabi ﷺ pernah berkata kepadanya :
(يا ذا الأذنين) رواه أبو داود والترمذي وصححه الألباني.
“O you who have two ears.” (Hadith narrated by Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi, authenticated by Al-Albani).
وأتى رجلاً إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ، فقال : يا رسول الله احملني قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم :
A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: “O Messenger of Allah, carry me (give me a ride).” The Prophet ﷺ replied:
(إنا حاملوك على ولد ناقة ، قال : وما أصنع بولد الناقة فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم : (وهل تلد الإبل إلا النوق) . رواه أحمد وأبو داود وصححه الألباني .
“We will carry you on a baby camel.” The man said: “What can I do with a baby camel?” The Prophet ﷺ said: “Aren’t camels only born from female camels?” (Hadith narrated by Ahmad and Abu Dawud, authenticated by Al-Albani).
وعن أنس قال : (كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أحسن الناس خلقا ، وكان لي أخ يقال له أبو عمير ، وكان إذا جاء قال :
Anas radhiyallahu ‘anhu said: “The Prophet ﷺ had the best character of all people. I had a younger brother called Abu Umair. Whenever the Prophet ﷺ came, he would say:
(يا أبا عمير ما فعل النغير) رواه البخاري ومسلم . والنغير هو طائر صغير كان يلعب به .
‘O Abu Umair, what happened to the little bird (nughair)?’” (Hadith narrated by Bukhari and Muslim). Nughair was a small bird that Abu Umair used to play with.
وطعن صلى الله عليه وسلم مرة أحد أصحابه بقضيب في يده مداعبة له ، فعن أسيد بن حضير قال :
Once the Prophet ﷺ poked one of his companions with a small stick in his hand as a joke. Usayd bin Hudhair radhiyallahu ‘anhu said:
(بينما هو – يعني أسيد – يحدث القوم ، وكان فيه مزاح ، يضحكهم ، فطعنه النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في خاصرته بعود ، فقال : أصبرني – أي اجعلني اقتص منك – ، فقال : اصطبر ، قال : إن عليك قميصا ، وليس علي قميص ، فرفع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عن قميصه ، فاحتضنه ، وجعل يقبل كشحه – ما بين الخاصرة والضلع – ، قال إنما أردت هذا يا رسول الله) رواه أبو داود ، وصححه الألباني.
“While I — meaning Usayd — was speaking to some people, and I liked to make them laugh, the Prophet ﷺ poked me in the side with a stick. I said: ‘Let me retaliate against you.’ He said: ‘Go ahead.’ I said: ‘You are wearing a shirt while I am not.’ So the Prophet ﷺ lifted his shirt. I then embraced him and began to kiss his side (between the waist and the rib). I said: ‘This is all I wanted, O Messenger of Allah.’” (Hadith narrated by Abu Dawud, authenticated by Al-Albani).
وكان يبتسم صلى الله عليه وسلم في وجوه أصحابه ، ويسمعهم الكلام الطيب ، ويتقبل شكواهم بصدر رحب وأدب جم ، فعن جرير رضي الله عنه ، قال :
The Prophet ﷺ would always smile at his companions, speak kindly to them, and listen to their complaints with openness and noble manners. Jarir radhiyallahu ‘anhu said:
(ما حجبني النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم منذ أسلمت ، ولا رآني إلا تبسم في وجهي ، ولقد شكوت إليه إني لا أثبت على الخيل ، فضرب بيده في صدري وقال اللهم ثبته ، واجعله هاديا مهديا) . رواه البخاري.
“Since I embraced Islam, the Prophet ﷺ never prevented me from seeing him, and whenever he saw me, he would smile at me. I once complained to him that I could not stay firm on horseback. He then struck my chest with his hand and said: ‘O Allah, make him steadfast, and make him a guide who is guided.’” (Hadith narrated by Bukhari).
