It has been explained in the previous section that the concept of faith is the Creed that Allah has revealed in His books, with which the messengers were sent, and made it His testament for those who came before and those who came after.

This creed is one, which does not change with the passage of time or place, nor does it change with the alteration of individuals or communities/nations.

Allah Ta’ala berFirman :

He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus – to establish the religion and not be divided therein. Difficult for those who associate others with Allah is that to which you invite them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back [to Him]. (Surah asy Syuraa verse 13)

What Allah Almighty has prescribed for us in religion, and what He has entrusted us with through it – just as He entrusted it to the previous Messengers – are the foundational principles of faith (Ushul Aqidah) and the principles of belief (Kaidah Keimanan), not matters of branches (Furu’) in religion or practical Shariah laws. Because every community has its own Shariah that corresponds to their needs, conditions, level of intellect, and spiritual level.

To each of you We prescribed a law and a method.  (Surah al Maaidah verse 48)
