Question:

What is the ruling on selling crosses in commercial shops to foreigners?

Answer:

All praise is due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, and his companions. To proceed:

Indeed, it is not permissible for a Muslim to hang crosses in their shop, neither for decoration nor for trade, whether for foreigners—non-believers—or for others.

For it is stated in the agreed-upon hadith (muttafaq ‘alaih) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prohibited the sale of alcohol, carrion, pork, and idols. Therefore, just as it is not permissible to sell alcohol, pork, and idols to non-believers, it is also not permissible to sell crosses, as they are among their most specific religious symbols.

And Allah knows best.
