Seven Whom Allah Will Shade Under His Shade (Part 2)

The article Seven Whom Allah Will Shade Under His Shade is included in the Hadith Explanation Category

Narrated by Ma’qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah

There is no servant to whom Allah has given responsibility for subjects, then he dies on the day he dies while he was deceptive toward his subjects, except that Allah will forbid Paradise for him 1

The second: A youth who grew up in the worship of Allah. Allah has granted him success since he grew up to perform righteous deeds, made them beloved to him, made evil deeds hateful to him, and helped him to abandon them—whether due to a righteous upbringing, good companionship, or otherwise. Allah has protected him from what many youths grow up with in terms of amusement, play, neglecting prayers, and indulgence in desires and pleasures. Allah praised this blessed generation with His saying, Exalted is He:

“Indeed, they were youths who believed in their Lord, and We increased them in guidance” [Al-Kahf: 13].

And since youth is a strong motivator for desires, it is among the most amazing of matters when a youth commits himself to obedience and exerts effort in it, thereby deserving to be among the seven whom Allah shades in His shade.

Indeed, he knew that he would be asked about his youth and how he spent it, so he acted upon the advice of his Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم who counseled, saying:

Take advantage of five before five: your youth before your old age, your free time before your preoccupation, your life before your death, your health before your illness, and your wealth before your poverty 2

The third: A man whose heart is attached to the mosques. He hardly feels at ease with anything upon leaving the mosque until he returns to it, because mosques are the houses of Allah, and whoever enters them has become a guest of his Lord. No heart is purer and no soul is happier than a man who becomes a guest of his Lord in His house and under His care.

And these are the true maintainers of the mosques, about whom Allah said:

“The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and establish prayer and give zakah and do not fear except Allah, for it is expected that those will be of the [rightly] guided” [At-Taubah: 18].

Narrated by Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

The mosque is the house of every pious person, and Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla guarantees for the one for whom the mosque is his house: comfort, mercy, and passage over the Sirat to the pleasure of Allah towards Paradise 3

And this hospitality occurs in this world through the tranquility, happiness, and comfort attained in their hearts, and in the Hereafter through the honor He has prepared for them in Paradise.

Narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

((Whoever goes to the mosque in the morning or evening, Allah prepares for him a place/hospitality 4 in Paradise whenever he goes in the morning or evening 5
